KAT-TUN's Jin Akanishi (26) will officially graduate from the group later this year, it has been announced. During KAT-TUN's concert at the Tokyo Dome on Friday night, Johnny's Jimusho president Johnny Kitagawa said that the final decision will be made after Akanishi's U.S. tour this fall, but at this point it appears to already be guaranteed.
Since May, Akanishi has been in the United States, working on his solo career. He performed concerts in Los Angeles in June, and he has scheduled a 7-city tour for September and October. Kitagawa also revealed that Akanishi is already planning further concerts for 2011. Meanwhile, KAT-TUN has been continuing as a 5-member group, just as they did when Akanishi temporarily left in 2006 to study abroad.
Kitagawa explained that right now, the focus is only on Akanishi becoming successful in the U.S. He said that it would be too soft on Akanishi to let him return to KAT-TUN as a fallback if he doesn't succeed. It would also be unforgivable to KAT-TUN fans to have Akanishi dragging the group on, or returning the same way he did in 2007.
Kitagawa once again assured fans that KAT-TUN is not breaking up. Although the group's name is based on the initial characters of the members' names, it is said that Akanishi's "A" will be replaced by extending Kazuya Kamenashi's "K" to "KA." There are no plans to bring in a new member, as Kitagawa stated that there is no need to have six people in the group. He said that the five remaining members are currently doing fine without Akanishi.

DAHSYAT! UNBELIEVABLE!
Gw sie mpe sekarang...jujur yaa...masih mengarapkan kalo ini smua cuma rumour n nti ga jadi kluar de xD KAT-TUN tanpa Jin seperti bukan KAT-TUN buat gw... KAT-TUN akan kehilangan satu ciri khas mreka... ga akan lge denger suara melengking Jin yg dahsyat di lagu2 berikutnya T_T sediiih mode on...
Yaaaaa~ ditunggu aja sampe Fall.. smoga final decision nya : JIN tetep di KAT-TUN dan ga jadi kluar!

Btw, baca lirik lagu promise song..bener2 menggambarkan ttg KAT-TUN yaa~ apa perasaan doank? tpi yg jelas gw menyadari ini sebelum berita ttg hengkangnya Jin ini keluar...
nie saia share translatean lirik na :
Close my eyes, there is the song I heard that day, the nameless melody that you quietly sang to yourself
It is the one thing that refuses to fade away, that keeps us connected no matter how much time has passed
Until now, I keep searching and searching for the answer every time I think of you
Faraway, in a place without you, I am still singing, with strength, with gentleness
this tiny endless melody that has stayed unchanged ever since that day
Farewell, bewildered and confused as I am in front of this unfamiliar scenery,
I know for certain that you are gently protecting the precious words we exchanged
Yesterday, it came as no surprise, still it was unbelievable, the day our footprints went separated ways
Unable to speak up, I didn't dare to look at you, yet I wasn't able to hide my weakness
The "thank you" that you gave me at the end will become the hope that connects me with tomorrow, so...
Faraway, riding on this wind, here are the words I want to send you, only you
Can you hear it? this tiny endless melody that has stayed unchanged ever since that day
Farewell, as we go along two different roads, whenever we are wore down by confusion,
let us look for flowers of the same colors and take them as the proof of our meeting
Let's gather the fragments of memory, gently, carefully, so that it wouldn't break
I wish that someday we will be able to put inside our heart a complete memory
Faraway, in a place without you, I am still singing, with strength, with gentleness
this tiny endless melody that has stayed unchanged ever since that day
Farewell, this promise song will forever resound deep in my heart
And so I start walking, until the day we meet again
Until the day we meet again
